Announcement: New Applications
We are excited to announce the launch of our new applications! We're opening up early access to our new applications for searching, downloading, and submitting photometric observations. You can now access these applications through these links:
We ask for your feedback in order to help us improve these applications. Please send feedback for the applications above to feedback@aavso.org. Note: please avoid duplicating submissions across the two submit applications.
I think it is simply due to how the links were set up in the tabs and where they point? VPhot is a member only tool so it had a need to confirm membership by previous log-in.
After years of using it, I just never even think about the extra click anymore! IMHO, it is pretty trivial but I can see your point.
When the new web page gets deployed perhaps we may think about it?

Ken,
Thanks for the explanation. I totally agree that its trivial. Just a new set of eyes seeing it.
In my past professional life I had to notice things like that. Its tough to unlearn!
