Today is the birth date of AAVSO founding father, William Tyler Olcott.
Interestingly, all the former "Recorders" and "Directors" were born in January.
Janet Mattei -January 2, Leon Campbell -January 20, Margaret Mayall -January 27, and Arne Henden -January 30.

Actually, until just the last 20 years or so, he wouldn't have noticed much difference in things. Then the internet and CCD came along!
