Hi,
My computer has been updated to WIN10 but when I try AIP4WIN I get an error : COMDLG32.OCX can't be loaded...
What is the problem?

IMPORTANT:
Hi everyone.
New in the forum, I made some visual observations for AAVSO in 90s.... so not new in Astronomy, but dormant for a while...
Looking for help and advice TO BUY A SETUP FOR DOING SCIENCE, guys!!!
Thank you very much in advance !!!
Hi,
I am currently doing potometry with my Canon 450D with a 50mm lense or a 500mm refractor. I want to continue at home using this set up. But - after hopefully Corona crisis is over - I will be able again to use several telescopes at a nearby observatory (SC, Newton, refractor). I think about buying a "starter" CCD + Johnson V,B filters. I am mainly interested in a good price/value, no high level device.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Clear skies,
Matthias
I watched the Bright Star Monitor Webinar this past Saturday...was very good. Saw images of the Texas site with the large condominium sheds. I was wondering if I could get some more information about that...construction, materials, estimated costs. I work for a small university in Texas...we may have the ability soon to build something soon.
You have probably noticed chatter about the Unistellar eVscope.
Since there seems to be considerable interest in CMOS sensors, I thought I'd give you a blow-by-blow account as I test a new QHY600 camera over the next week or so. The OC61 (Optical Craftsman 61-cm) telescope node of AAVSOnet is located at Mt.
Either for observing meteor showers, or just for checking incoming clouds, all-sky cameras are a useful addition for many observatories.
Some of us who bought a ZWO ASI CMOS camera in the "planetary" or guiding market segment like the ASI178 , ASI 120, ASI 290 etc actually got a simple fish eye lens for free because ZWO just throws in one of these as an accesory when you buy those cameras. These lenses, while simple, actually have a CS mount thread and are screwed into a T2 adapter ring to fit the ZWO ASI cameras.
